AUGUST 2015 : SPAIN : El Camino del Norte : Day 34 : Arzua - Pedrouzo (20.9 kms - 6 hours with stops)

IDistance travelled : 787.7 kms
Distance to go : 22 kms

Again we had a mild day, some flat paths and some highway. The biggest difference was that there were so many more pelegrinos, as the Camino Frances, Camino del Norte and the Camino Primitivo all meet as we near our destination of Santiago.

Busy morning in the albergue bar, from about 7am.

All the guidebooks and way markers differ about exact kilometres. Regardless it is obvious we are near the end.

There is so much accommodation available along this section of the route.

One of the many bars along the paths, attached to a farm. People just kept processing down the road.

All ages, all nationalities, many still hobbling...

                                              A special brew.

This is Jose. He is 95. He greeted us on the road wanting to chat.

           Some interesting villages today.

A group of us booked into a private albergue. Large and very busy.

This facility has individual aired lockers for your boots, power plugs above each bed for recharging phones and iPads, a sauna (6 euros), washers and dryers, complete kitchen, wifi. About 200 beds.

Just across the road a woman works in her field.

We walked to a local restaurant for the Menu del dia.

After a rest it was drinks and a pizza for dinner.

A visit to the 2 euro shop for souvenirs.

Last day's walk tomorrow. I can't believe it! And we're not one of the walking wounded. We have so much for which to be grateful.
