The Distance travelled : 167 kms
An interesting day, early 30s, clear waymarking, good company and quaint villages.
Putting some money in an honesty box for a cup of fresh blackberries, this cat appeared.
The owner said that the breed dates back to the Sphinx.
Common garden decorations.
Walking into the country past holiday cottages and hunting lodges.
A surprise visitor in a puddle on the way.
Cak, a village with an interesting past.
Hobbit- type houses, open lofts and thatched roofs.
Hansel and Gretel's house in the woods. Country where fairytale a reality.
A grand house ( with a Troll bridge) as we enter Bozsok.
Hoping to find a coffee...
Near a little supermarket we see some activity and find a small cafe.
There was a small patisserie with some imaginative birthday cakes.
Homemade rolls in a closed open air cafe...and a snooze for Mark.
Crossing from Hungary into Austria.
Walking along a canal and we think soybean crops.
A good pace today with lots of chat.
..... or time to get a better view.
Our accommodation tonight is a community centre in Narda. 9 euros.
Local ladies from the Catholic Church across the road have set up the centre for EPW and will
provide an evening meal.
Showers in the Presbytery, a few houses away from the centre.
Welcome refreshments at the local cafe.
Dinner organised by the local mayor and her assistant.
This community is Croatian, although situated in Hungary.
The Croatian community choir arrived and had their practice outside, which we enjoyed
immensely.
