Boat booked up....so we faced a morning of confusion on the metro and train.
Now to find the correct station.
Much deliberation and patience!
After several transfers and 70 mins on the train we arrived in fairytale Bratislava.
The tourist office recommended a fab local restaurant, away from the tourist hype.
Great introduction to Slovakia.
Fourteenth century castle overlooking the town.
View over the city from the castle.
Some snapshots of the city
Negotiating bus tickets for the 91 bus
We arrive in Curnovo in 38 degree to walk about 6 kms to our destination.
Hot and anxious to find our destination, after a few false starts.
Our destination. A horse farm. Our hosts are Adam and his wife.
Our accommodation, an authentic Mongolian yurt.

Hello there. As an older woman planning to do the walk next year, may I ask how heavy your packs were? And how many days did you choose not to walk? I can be contacted at margid41@hotmail.com if that is easier for you.
Many Thanks,
Margid
