OCTOBER 2017 : SPAIN : CADIZ AND SAN FERNANDO : DAY 1

Leaving Córdoba in the early morning

We caught a train to San Fernando (26€ each) - a pleasant 3 hour journey. Orange groves and cotton fields.

Attractive station with typical tiles of the area

We were met by our friends, Claudia, Sergio and Olivia (7mths), who have a family holiday home in San Fernando.

Mark and I took no time getting to know Olivia.

Views of San Fernando and Cadiz from the rooftop.

Later in the day John and Maugie arrived from Ireland. The full company together again - minus one, unfortunately Miriam, our English friend was unable to make it. We met and walked the Camino Frances together in 2012.

A late dinner at a club in San Fernando dedicated to the Flamenco singer, Camorón, who died in 1992. It was the first night of a Flamenco competition.
