Flying into Split over the Dalmatian islands
A late meal at a fish restaurant nearby - delicious!
We have flown from Rome to Split in Croatia. Split is still very warm, mid 20s in the evening, and still has a holiday atmosphere.
We had organised a small apartment, Stipan Apartment, in the old part of town just outside Diocletian’s Palace.
Very clean and neat with a garden.
Alleyways with small restaurants and cafes
An attractive town
Breakfast in one of the courtyards of Diocletian Palace precinct
The ancient walls with modern cafes, hotels and stalls which have merged into a fascinating centre.
Today I take a bus to Sibenik to meet my Irish friends for a swimming week off the island of Prvic Luka.
Mark meanwhile is discovering the delights of Croatia, Bosnia and Montenegro on day trips from Split and Dubrovnik.
We met in Sibenik to catch the ferry to Prvic Luca.
Small ports on the islands we passed through
