SEPTEMBER 2018 : CROATIA : PRVIC LUKA : DAY 5 : Swimtrek

Breakfast

Wasps - non-stinging - have featured prominently around the hotel

I couldn’t resist setting up this photo-shoot

Setting off

Our mission this morning was to cross this channel...

And circumnavigate Sestrica Island. We swam about 2 kms

Afterwards we cruised to Zlarin for our lunch break.

Such an attractive port

First stop - coffee

We moored at the main jetty for lunch

Suzanne serenaded us on her flute

And Ruth, her daughter, played the flute under water as it is waterproof

Some athletic souls did backflips into the dinghy - 5 in all.

Our afternoon swim was around more of the coastline of Zlarin.

Team Yellow set off

and try to maintain formation

Our trusty guides - Telle and Creśor

Drinks on the terrace

Then Creshor walked us to a large house in the village, where we were wined and dined in style

It was a very attractive home full of Croatian artefacts

Large platters of Croatian delicacies  were brought before us

The large oven behind us was prepared

Sea bass, tuna, beef and lamb perfectly barbecued

To end the evening Creśor , Telle and our host sang some Croatian traditional songs.

Such a fabulous celebration of a very special week.
