“Just a quick email before we move out of Lucca. A beautiful walled city untouched by warring tribes. Last night a Puccini concert to celebrate the 150th anniversary of his birth. Walked into market day yesterday —antique markets throughout the tiny streets and alley ways. Fabulous meal last night in a local trattoria. Bob has a list of specialities and we are working through it. Now off on a 28km walk south. Put Lucca on your list — fabulous history and classic experience.”
