Walking through the Lot Valley We will walk through Montcuq in the next few days. |
It was long day's walk today, mainly rocky paths. We veered off the track to Cajarc, a beautiful little town, not unlike Aix-en-Provence, on the banks of the Lot River, for supplies and coffee. There were some more established grapevines, some sheep and cattle, and young oak forests on our journey today.

Limogne-en- Quercy was welcome sight but looked unremarkable on entry. That was all to change as we approached the iron gates which opened into our gite. It is a grand country house with stunning gardens. We have a very friendly multilingual hostess, who is quite a raconteur and loves her contact with walkers.

Wow 28km. Well done hope you found lots of shade.
Wow - you are really clocking up the km. Pleased to hear that the accommodation continues to be interesting and friendly. One can only imagine what a French "Fawlty Towers" would be like...hope you do not come across one. Marche heureux!
