DAY 23 : NEPAL : Manang (3540m) - Yak Karka (4018m) - 4 hour walk

Our destination today was Yak Karka.

Leaving Manang on a snowy morning. Part of the main street was being ploughed up with 2 bullocks for a potato crop. Ponies walked through the chaos to graze as trekkers headed off.

Tiny thoroughfares out of the back streets to the trail, meeting neighbourhood children on the way.

View of glacial lake and terraced fields by the Marsyandi River as we left Manang.

Blessings from the prayer wheels as we head off.

Snowy and slippery paths.

We walk carefully together.

Yak Karka (Yak Pastures) our destination today. Our hotel, Himalayan View, with ample bedrooms and a comfortable dining area and fire and a surprising good view of Annapurna 2.

An exotic stranger - a typical outfit for horsemen in this area.

A bright area for our group meals with spectacular views.
