DAY 8 : NEPAL : Philim (1570m) - Bihi Phedi (1980m) - 8 hour walk

Our destination today was to Bihi Phedi.

 Breakfast in Phillim.

An interested child looking at us from the tea house above.

A local farmer making rope from strips of bamboo, which are twisted and then bashed to form rope.

Young girls collecting stinging nettle, used to make a nourishing vegetable soup.

Greeting from a little local girl.

We continue to follow the track along the river.

Vegetation changing - now pine forests and some softer paths.

Stone gateways welcome us into each village from now on. The three towers representing the past, present and future Buddha.

An old suspension bridge fixed with random pieces of wood and stones to plug the gaps. Very Indiana Jones. I keep asking myself "Will I die today?"

Lunch at a tea house in Pewa. Temperature during the day in the late 20s.

View from river from many angles.

Native orchids.

A Mexican stand-off.

Climbing higher - our campsite on the ridge at Bihi Phedi off into the distance.
