DAY 24 : NEPAL : Yak Karka (4018m) - High Camp (4800m) - 4 hour walk

View out of our window this morning - Annapurna 2 at sunrise.

Our room - typical of tea house accommodation.

Breakfast - rugged up for another chilly morning.

Setting off from Yak Karka.

Slowly ascending.

Amazing views on a sparkling day.

Prized yaks.

Musk deer.

Narrow paths with chances of landslides and rockfalls due to grazing animals dislodging rocks and stones on the high slopes above.

Rest at a one-man cafe on the trail.

Steep climb 400 metres straight up the mountainside to High Camp.

High Camp (4800m) - the main holding bay for the Thorung La (Pass) walk. Feeling well - we are well hydrated and ready for action tomorrow morning.
