We are staying in the small village of Mukinje, near the entrance to the Plitvice Lakes.

We headed to the National Park about 8am to avoid all the tourist buses which arrive from 10am.
The National Park infrastructure is well established with ferries and shuttle buses to transport visitors from one walk to another.
