Rest day today. A boat cruise along the coast south of Ciutadella.
Walking to the port
Interesting journey along the coast.
This lighthouse - Faro d’Artrutx - is the closest point to Mallorca - 38kms south
Horses and walkers moving along the Cami de Cavalls, where we will walk tomorrow. Mark encouraged by the flat terrain.
Caves, beaches and cliff top villas
Two beautiful swimming stops at San Saura and Cala en Turqueta. Very popular.
White fine sand, pristine water, lots of topless (and one bottomless) sunbathers. I was the only one wearing Speedos!
As we re-boarded the boat after our morning swim, we were served generous helpings of seafood paella and glasses of Sangria.
The crew paced the day well with a mixed day of swimming and cruising. This cave was our last stop en route back to port. Touch inside with your right hand and seven years of good luck is guaranteed.
An exceptional meal in the old town at Le Pez Limón, recommended by the hotel receptionist
Entree : local cheese platter
Mains : Beef loin with apple
Grilled tuna belly
Dessert: Fig, curd and honey
The rosé (rosado) was a El Priorat wine, from where we walked last September. Another hot and rocky Spanish walk.
What a day!
