CANBERRA : Mt Ainslie : favourite daily walk

Here are some of the views, creatures and memories seen regularly on daily walks on Mt Ainslie.
Whether climbing to the summit - 843 m - or exploring the many tracks it is a fabulous place to
maintain fitness or just enjoy the Australian bush, right in the middle of Canberra.

On the main ascent path - shaded on the western side in the morning.

At the top, excellent views of the Parliamentary Triangle.

Views to the west to Black Mountain and the telecommunications tower and the Brindabella Ranges.

Always a relief to reach the top.

Off track - an old quarry.

Pristine bush and scenic views wherever you wander.

Amazing gums...

A stumpy- tail lizard.

Wallabies aplenty.

Crimson rosellas
