JANUARY 2019 : MOSSY POINT, NSW : Tomaga River paddle

Close to our beach house in Broulee is the beautiful Tomaga River, which is a popular waterway for kayaking, stand-up paddle boarding, fishing and other water related activities.

From the headland looking towards Tomakin

A king tide, clear skies and a perfect morning for a kayak up the river

Cormorants welcome us at the small wharf at Mossy Point

Colourful boathouses line the river

As we paddle up the river we see keen fisherman on the small public pier

Masked lapwings in the marshlands

Egrets

After paddling for about an hour up the river we returned to the Mossy Point wharf and a flock of pelicans

...and one of our resident stingrays
