RAJASTHAN (March) and NEPAL (April) - another walking adventure....

Mark and I are off on Monday 4th March on another adventure, inspired by friends and family. We have organised a 26 day trip with a company, Go India Journeys, where we will travel with a driver through Rajasthan and then by train to Lucknow, Varanasi and Darjeeling. This part of India has always been an attractive prospect being literally the 'country of kings' with the lavish colours of the locals, opulent palaces and forts plus its fascinating Moghul history.

We will travelling from Delhi on 5th March to Madawa, then on to Bikaner, Jaisalmer, Jodpur, Kumbhalgarh, Udaipur, Pushkar, Jaipur before returning to Delhi. From Delhi we travel  to Lucknow and Varanasi before heading to Darjeeling. We will be taking a 3 day trek on the Singalila Range to acclimatise ourselves to altitude before heading off to Nepal to do a 25 day camping trek on the Manaslu and Annapurna Circuits with our guide, Satish, from Nireka Adventures.

We look forward to sharing the journey with you - definitely one of contrasts, as we have not travelled in relative luxury before or experienced camping at altitude. All will be revealed....
